The Great Barr Golf Academy is one of the finest academies in the county, offering a range of services to meet your needs. The Professional Shop offers brands the leading brands in golf. You will find hardware such as Ping, Callaway and Cleveland, with fitting events with brands such as Titleist and TaylorMade. Our Clothing partners include, Glenmuir, FootJoy, Hugo Boss and Ping. Being a member of Foremost Golf, we can offers brands beyond what are in store, so even if you don’t see what you want in store, just ask and we can provide! With 3 PGA Professionals we can offer a range of services such as individual lessons, group lessons and on-course lessons. Using Foresight technology in our swing room we can offer lessons both indoor and outdoor! We also offering custom fitting and gapping sessions to ensure you have the right clubs in your bag for your game!
Josh Harvey - Head Professional
Advanced PGA Professional Josh has over 10 years experience in the golf industry, and became a full qualified PGA Professional in 2015, later becoming an Advanced PGA Professional in 2019. Josh is available for individual golf lessons and custom fitting sessions here at Great Barr Golf Club, and is a certified PING Custom Fitter. Josh plays golf competitively in Staffordshire PGA County events, winning his first pro-am in 2018.
Aarian Matharu - Assistant Professional
Trainee PGA Professional Aarian recently turned professional in October 2023 off a handicap of +2, after a successful amateur career with highlights such as finishing 3rd in the Midland Order of Merit and representing Staffordshire County for 6 years. Having enrolled on the FDSC Golf Studies Degree at the University of Birmingham, Aarian will soon be available for individual lessons and custom fitting sessions.
Victoria Mallett - Teaching Professional
PGA Professional Victoria is a fully Qualified PGA Professional with 7 years coaching experience. Working with golfers to improve any aspect of their game, she is available for individual and group lessons to suit your golfing needs. She delivers the Junior group coaching sessions at Great Barr Golf Academy and is also qualified as a Tri-Golf Instructor. Before turning professional in 2016, Victoria had a highly successful amateur career representing Warwickshire County and England winning both the Warwickshire Girls and Ladies Championship in 2015.
